HOMELESSNESS & HUNGER

According to a survey released earlier this year by the National Alliance to End Homelessness, the Tampa-St. Petersburg metropolitan area has the highest rate of homelessness in the country, with 57 homeless people for every 10,000 residents. There are roughly 16,000 homeless people in this area, with children making up about one-fifth of them.

Feeding Tampa Bay reports a distressing reality: one in six adults and one in four children in Tampa Bay grapple with food insecurity leaving thousands uncertain of their next meal. And these issues transcends zip codes.

At Nursey Foundation, we partner with other foundations to confront homelessness and hunger head on, by equipping individuals with essential resources and technologies. We aim to create a meaningful and brighter lifestyle for the community.
