HOMELESSNESS

Over half of the Americans who are homeless, whether in shelters or not, are found in just four states, with Florida accounting for more than 5% of the total. In the Tampa Bay area, local organizations are grappling with a significant rise in the number of individuals and families seeking housing assistance.

The latest HUD report reveals that in 2023, the number of homeless people surpassed 653,000—a 12% increase from the previous year and the highest count since data collection began in 2007. In Tampa Bay, our commitment is to ensure that everyone has the resources they need to live a meaningful and dignified life. We aim to reduce homelessness through strategic partnerships within the community and robust financial support.
