HOMELESSNESS & HUNGER

A recent report by the National Alliance to End Homelessness identifies the Tampa-St. Petersburg metropolitan area as having the highest homelessness rate in the nation, with an alarming ratio of 57 homeless individuals per 10,000 residents. This translates to approximately 16,000 homeless people within the area, of which children represent about 20%.

Furthermore, Feeding Tampa Bay highlights a distressing scenario where one in six adults and one in four children in the Tampa Bay area face food insecurity, leaving many unsure of where their next meal will come from. This issue does not discriminate based on location.

In response to these critical challenges, the Nursey Foundation joins forces with other organizations to directly tackle the issues of homelessness and hunger. We provide vital resources and innovative solutions aimed at fostering a positive and sustainable impact on the community’s well-being.
