For any family, having a child who is seriously ill or suffers from a disability can be life-altering both emotionally and financially, and having the knowledge and support structure in place to make an informed decision about your child’s care, development, and wellbeing can be difficult to find or even overwhelming.

The Nursey Foundation recognizes that stability and normalcy have new meaning for families affected by such unplanned journeys. The recurring characteristics among parents and published literature are the feeling of hopelessness, confusion, and the lack of knowledge and support, which is why we have fostered partnerships among families, professionals and communities to help families cope emotionally by sharing their experiences or helping lift some of the financial burdens.
